Peer Revision

Today we used a new Microsoft tool to make comments for peer revision.  What did you think about this way of getting your peers comments and opinions of your writing?  How does it compare to reading aloud in groups and getting verbal comments?  Would you recommend any changes to the way we did it?

Beowulf and Modern Heroes

Now that you have read Beowulf, how do you think he compares to the modern hero?  Was his story better and more interesting?  Have modern writers improved any on the heroic tale?  Keep in mind that Beowulf is the first written heroic epic.

Supernatural …… believe or not?

Many people believe in supernatural things.  Some people are superstitious.  Some believe in ghosts and demons.  Many people believe in angels.  We are preparing to read “The Crucible”.  Do you believe in anything of a supernatural origin?  Have you had any personal experiences that led to your belief?  If you do not believe explain why.
